research is spatial descriptive analysis (ANN and Buffer analysis).
Based on the results of the analysis, information was obtained that
there were 330 minimarkets spread throughout the City of South
Tangerang. The areas with the highest number of minimarkets
are West Pamulang, Benda Baru, and Pondok Benda Village in
Pamulang District, then Sawah Baru and Sawah Lama Villages in
Ciputat District. The service coverage analysis shows that some
areas have overlapping service coverage, namely in Pamulang,
Ciputat, and East Ciputat Districts. Serpong District is an ideal
area for minimarket location planning. However, minimarkets
have served only a few areas, especially in the North Serpong,
Pondok Aren, and Setu Districts. The uncontrolled development of
minimarkets will directly impact the environment, social economy,
and the face of the city in the future. Studying the distribution of
minimarkets in South Tangerang City is a form of enrichment of
science and technology. It can be used as a reference in formulating
future urban spatial planning policies oriented towards sustainable
urban life.
