ABSTRACT

Digital transformation in the agribusiness sector has an
important role in driving increased efficiency, productivity and
competitiveness in various sectors, including agribusiness. The
agribusiness sector is an important pillar in the global economy,
but it is required to be able to face challenges such as climate
change, increasing demand for food and land conversion such
as land that has been converted into a residential area, so that
agricultural land decreases. Technological innovation in the form
of transformation becomes a solution in facing challenges and
creating a sustainable agribusiness. Identification of the role of
information technology such as the internet of Things (IoT), big
data, and predictive analytics in increasing operational efficiency
that can make it easier for farmers and agribusiness actors.
Natural balance and environmental sustainability are maintained
with efficient use of resources. The use of technology is illustrated
by digital platforms and e-commerce which have presented new
opportunities for agribusiness actors. Therefore it takes smart steps
to overcome these problems. Increasing digital literacy among
farmers and agribusiness practitioners is a way to understand and
adopt technology more effectively. Some of the challenges faced
in implementing digital transformation in the agribusiness sector
are made easy with collaboration and partnerships as well as
support from the government, business world, community and all
stakeholders involved.
