Selain itu dalam BMP ini juga disajikan tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat dan permasalahan oleh perencanaan wilayah yang disertai dengan contoh kasus serta solusi pemecahannya secara komprehensif sesuai dengan prosedur dan proses perencanaan wilayah. Setelah mempelajari BMP ini mahasiswa diharapkan dapat merencanakan lingkungan wilayah dengan memperdayakan semua potensi yang ada di sekitar lingkungan wilayahnya serta mampu melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat secara menyeluruh.
