Mata kuliah ini berisi penjelasan tentang ilmu kearsipan yang mengurai arsip sebagai ilmu, kemudian analisis dan deskriptis tentang proses pengelolaan arsip mulai dari arsip dinamis hingga menjadi arsip statis. Mata kuliah ini juga menjelaskan tentang profesi arsiparis sebagai tenaga profesional yang mengelola arsip sesuai dengan norma dan prosedur, serta aturan yang berlaku.
